C# Comments

C# does support 2 types of comments, single line and multi-line comment.

Single Line comment

To comment in C#, simply place your plain text after // marks. This tells the application that they are notes and should not be used as part of the program.

using System;

namespace HelloWorldApp {
   class HelloWorld {
      static void Main(string[] args) {
         // This is a single line comment
         Console.WriteLine("Hello World!");
      }
   }
}

Output

Hello World!

Single Line comment

In C#, The /* */ comment syntax is used for multiline comments. simply place your plain text between /* and */ marks.

using System;

namespace HelloWorldApp {
   class HelloWorld {
      static void Main(string[] args) {
         /* This is
            a multiple Line
            Comment
         */
         Console.WriteLine("Hello World!");
      }
   }
}

Output
