C++ For Loop
A loop is used for executing a block of statements repeatedly until a particular condition is met.C++ For loop Syntax
for (statement 1; statement 2; statement 3) {
// code block to be executed every loop
}
From the above syntax we can see that for has 3 statements:
- Statement 1 is a starting point and will executed one time only.
- Statement 2 is the condition defined to be met so for loop will end.
- Statement 3 is step which the loop rely on and will be executed every time we loop.
Example of C++ For Loop
Below Example will be doing a ascending order.#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
for (int i = 0; i < 3; i++) {
cout << i << "\n";
}
return 0;
}
Output
0
1
2
1
2
Another example of C++ For Loop
Below Example will be doing a descending order.#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
for (int i = 3; i > 0; i--) {
cout << i << "\n";
}
return 0;
}
Output
3
2
1
2
1
